Gloucester County Fire Academy strives to provide visitors with an environment that enhances both learning and practical skills training. What follows are certain rules and general guidelines that are intended to ensure a rewarding experience while attending programs at the fire academy.
COURSE REGISTRATION: All programs offered by the Gloucester County Fire Academy require registration prior to the start date of the program. Individuals desiring to register must use the academy’s registration form.
- Registrants must meet all course requirements at the time of registration.
- Registrations accepted are considered final and except for limited exceptions, non-refundable (see course cancellations). However, substitutions are permitted.
- Registrations may be submitted either by faxing, mailing, or in person.
- Incomplete registrations may be returned to the registrant. Thus, delaying enrollment.
COURSE CANCELLATION: Where a course is cancelled for any of the following reason(s) registrants may either accept a refund or, they may be placed on a preferred list for a future class offering where the tuition is of the same amount.

COURSE COMPLETION: Unless otherwise noted, all programs offered by the Gloucester County Fire Academy include the issuance of a certificate of successful completion. To receive full credit and certificate, the attendee must:
- Meet all attendance requirements.
- Complete all mandatory coursework.
- Achieve the minimum test or practical skills testing requirements.
Incomplete coursework must be completed as required by the academy or the sponsoring agency.
DRESS CODE: The Gloucester County Fire Academy strives to provide training in an environment that promotes professionalism. The following guidelines are expected to be followed by all visitors.
- Outerwear should be clean and not contain any language or drawings that a reasonable person would find offensive.
- Outerwear may consist of: shirt with collar, T-shirt, or sweatshirt that fully covers the mid-section, long pants. Open toed shoes are not permitted.
- Certain programs require special clothing requirements.
GENERAL CONDUCT: To enhance training while at the fire academy, visitors are expected adhere to the following rules:
- Smoking in designated areas only.
- Parking in designated areas only.
- Local speed limits shall be followed at all times.
- All cell phones and radios shall be either turned off or placed in the silent mode during class.
- Users of both the kitchen and dining area shall strive to maintain a clean and straightened area.
